Instructions for translators

Le regole per tradurre sono molto semplici. Scriviamo esattamente quello che c'è scritto nel libro tradotto in italiano, ma lo modifichiamo per far combaciare la formattazione usata nel sistema. Se qualcosa non è ancora stata tradotta in italiano non la traduciamo, verrà deciso in seguito cosa fare con le stringhe relative a prodotti che non verranno rilasciati in italiano (ad esempio Pathfiner Society e il blog Paizo).

Fonti

Per facilitare il lavoro è possibile acquistare i PDF dal sito di Giochi Uniti (GU). Il sito di Golarion Insider (GI), sebbene non sia uno strumento che promuoviamo, può aiutare nel lavoro di copiatura, però prestate attenzione perché non seguiamo il loro modo di mettere con l'iniziale maiuscola tutte le parole chiavi. Per altre informazioni fate riferimento al paragrafo successivo.

Maiuscole/minuscole

Se non sapete come scrivere certe parole chiavi fate riferimento al manuale. Di seguito una lista incompleta di cose che GI mette con iniziale maiuscola ma che noi scriviamo in minuscolo:

  • Condizioni (nascosto, impreparato, ...)

  • Tratti (buono, agile)

  • Nomi di creature non uniche

  • Riferimenti a regole (penalità di attacchi multipli, lista incantesimi arcani, ...)

  • Classi, stirpi e background

    A differenza del sistema di pathfinder 2e, rispettiamo maiuscole e minuscole quando i riferimenti sono all'interno di un blocco @UUID[...].

Unità di misura

Non convertiamo le unità di misura nel testo in italiano. Questo vale anche quando la sorgente nel sistema non specifica una sostituzione del tag @Template. Ad esempio:

The tarn linnorm can expel either a @Template[type:line|distance:120] or a @Template[type:cone|distance:60] of acid ...

Diventa:

Il linnorm dei laghi può esalare una @Template[type:line|distance:120]{linea di 36 metri} o un @Template[type:cone|distance:60]{cono di 18 metri} di acido ...

Tiri dei Danni

Allo stesso modo per i @Template i tiri dei dadi necessitano delle modifiche rispetto alla versione inglese. Esempio che continua da quello precedente:

[...] of acid dealing [[/r 20d6[acid]]] damage to creatures within the area (@Check[type:reflex|dc:44|basic:true] save) [...]

Diventa:

[...] di acido che infligge [[/r 20d6[acid]]]{20d6 danni da acido} alle creature entro l'area (TS @Check[type:reflex|dc:44|basic:true]) [...]

Nei casi in cui il numero dei dadi o altri parametri dipendono da proprietà avanzate allora è necessario configurare le istanze di danno. Ad esempio:

[...] On a hit, you deal 3d8 acid damage plus [[/r floor(@item.level/2)d6[persistent,acid]]] damage. [...]

Diventa:

[...] Se colpisci, infliggi 3d8 danni da acido più [[/r floor(@item.level/2)d6[persistent,acid]]]{$1 danni persistenti da acido}. [...]

Nell'espressione precedente, $1 corrisponde al primo tiro di dadi specificato, $2 al secondo, eccetera.

Nomi di @Check e Tiri dei Dadi

Traduciamo sempre i nomi delle prove e dei dadi. Esempi:

[...] A blood transfusion, which requires a @Check[type:medicine|dc:20|name:Blood Transfusion] check and sufficient blood or a blood donor, reduces the drain by 1 after 10 minutes. [...]

[...] It can't use Breath Weapon again for [[/br 1d4 #Recharge Breath Weapon]]{1d4 rounds}.

Diventano:
