Instructions for translators

Le regole per tradurre sono molto semplici. Scriviamo esattamente quello che c'è scritto nel libro tradotto in italiano, ma lo modifichiamo per far combaciare la formattazione usata nel sistema. Se qualcosa non è ancora stata tradotta in italiano non la traduciamo, verrà deciso in seguito cosa fare con le stringhe relative a prodotti che non verranno rilasciati in italiano (ad esempio Pathfiner Society e il blog Paizo).

Fonti

Per facilitare il lavoro è possibile acquistare i PDF dal sito di Giochi Uniti (GU). Il sito di Golarion Insider (GI), sebbene non sia uno strumento che promuoviamo, può aiutare nel lavoro di copiatura, però prestate attenzione perché non seguiamo il loro modo di mettere con l'iniziale maiuscola tutte le parole chiavi. Per altre informazioni fate riferimento al paragrafo successivo.

Maiuscole/minuscole

Se non sapete come scrivere certe parole chiavi fate riferimento al manuale. Di seguito una lista incompleta di cose che GI mette con iniziale maiuscola ma che noi scriviamo in minuscolo:

  • Condizioni (nascosto, impreparato, ...)

  • Tratti (buono, agile)

  • Nomi di creature non uniche

  • Riferimenti a regole (penalità di attacchi multipli, lista incantesimi arcani, ...)

  • Classi, stirpi e background

    A differenza del sistema di pathfinder 2e, rispettiamo maiuscole e minuscole quando i riferimenti sono all'interno di un blocco @UUID[...].

Unità di misura

Non convertiamo le unità di misura nel testo in italiano. Questo vale anche quando la sorgente nel sistema non specifica una sostituzione del tag @Template. Ad esempio:

The tarn linnorm can expel either a @Template[type:line|distance:120] or a @Template[type:cone|distance:60] of acid ...

Diventa:

Il linnorm dei laghi può esalare una @Template[type:line|distance:120]{linea di 36 metri} o un @Template[type:cone|distance:60]{cono di 18 metri} di acido ...

Tiri dei Danni

Allo stesso modo per i @Template i tiri dei dadi necessitano delle modifiche rispetto alla versione inglese. Esempio che continua da quello precedente:

Diventa:

Nei casi in cui il numero dei dadi o altri parametri dipendono da proprietà avanzate allora è necessario configurare le istanze di danno. Ad esempio:

Diventa:

Nell'espressione precedente, $1 corrisponde al primo tiro di dadi specificato, $2 al secondo, eccetera.

Nomi di @Check e Tiri dei Dadi

Traduciamo sempre i nomi delle prove e dei dadi. Esempi:

<p><strong>Field Vials</strong> Your versatile vials have the poison trait and deal poison damage instead of having the acid trait and dealing acid damage (though your field benefit still applies). You can apply the contents of a versatile vial to a weapon or piece of ammunition as an injury poison. Add the versatile vial's initial damage to the first successful Strike with that weapon or ammunition. The substance becomes inert at the end of your current turn.</p>

<p><strong>Bard</strong> The collection of spells you can cast is called your spell repertoire. At 1st level, you learn two 1st-rank occult spells of your choice and five occult cantrips of your choice. You choose these from the common spells from the occult list or from other occult spells to which you have access. You can cast any spell in your spell repertoire by using a spell slot of an appropriate spell rank.</p>
<p>You add to this spell repertoire as you increase in level. Each time you get a spell slot (see the Bard Spells per Day table), you add a spell to your spell repertoire of the same rank. At 2nd level, you select another 1st-rank spell; at 3rd level, you select two 2nd-rank spells, and so on. <p>You focus on bizarre mutagenic transformations that sacrifice one aspect of a creature's physical or psychological being in order to strengthen another.</p>
<p><strong>Formulas</strong> Two common 1st-level alchemical mutagens.</p>
<p><strong>Field Benefit</strong> When you use a mutagen, you gain a number of temporary Hit Points equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 0) plus half your level. These temporary Hit Points last for 1 minute or until the mutagen's duration expires, whichever comes first. You can't gain temporary HP from drinking a mutagen again for 1 minute.</p>
<p><strong>Field Vials</strong> You can drink the contents of one your versatile vials to suppress the drawback you take from one mutagen currently affecting you until the beginning of your next turnfor 1 minute. A vial used this way loses the acid, bomb, and splash traits and gains the elixir trait. If you have more than one drawback due to @UUID[Compendium.pf2e.feats-srd.Item.jSkJIWPfSZZzvYzq]{Combine Elixirs} or a similar ability, drinking the vial suppresses one drawback of your choice.</p>

<p>You summon the fury of a mighty dragon and manifest incredible abilities. Perhaps your culture reveres draconic majesty, or you gained insights by drinking or bathing in dragon's blood or watching a marauding wyrm burn your village. Select a type of dragon from the Dragon Instincts table as your instinct's dragon type. These are the dragons from Monster Core, but your GM might allow you to choose dragons from other sources and determine their tradition and dragon breath type.</p>
<p><strong>Instinct Ability—Draconic Rage</strong> When you rage, you can increase the additional damage from Rage from 2 to 4 and change its damage type to match that of your instinct's dragon breath instead of the damage type for your weapon or unarmed attack. If you do this, your Rage action gains the trait matching your dragon instinct's tradition, as well as the trait matching the damage type where applicable.</p>
